Toyota Etios Cross launched at a starting price of 5.76 lakhs.
Toyota Motor launched the new Etios Cross on May 7, 2014. This has now joined the Etios series with Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback.The vehicle is a crossover with the rugged looks of an SUV and the fuel efficiency and maneuverability of a hatchback.
Toyota Etios Cross has a new design and exterior styling. It looks rugged with bold grille at the front and exclusive side cladding. The is surrounded by silver finished bull bar with protective cladding and signature badge of Toytota at the center. Skid plates have also been added that provides extra protection.
The muscular look is enhanced by the pair of 10-spoke 15inch machined chromed alloy wheels while the door handles and ORVM are body colored that flow with the overall structure.The headlight cluster has integrated halogen lamps and courtesy lights while the bumper is desgined with a large air dam having fog lamps integrated with turn indicators at both the ends.

Interior design is similar to the Etios range of cars with few enhancements. The cabin, too, has been embellished. Piano black interiors, seats with ‘Etios Cross’ badging and white stitching, 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-In connectivity options and modern instrument panel, and audio controls on leather-wrapped steering wheel.On the safety front, the top end ‘V’ and ‘VD’ trims gets dual front airbags while Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake Force Distribution is standard in all except the base ‘G’ variant.

Toyota Etios Crossover comes in three engine options, two petrol engines and one diesel engine which are already doing their duty in Liva hatch. The base model comes with 1.2L 4-cylinder DOHC petrol engine that produces 79hp and torque rated at 104Nm while the more powerful 1.5L engine with same DOHC technology is able to generate 89hp and 132Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is a 1.4L D-4D engine with SOHC technology producing 67hp and 170Nm of max torque. All the three engines are paired with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. Fuel economy of all the three engines is also pretty impressive. The 1.2L and 1.5L petrol engines delivers ARAI certified mileage of 17.71kmpl and 16.78kmpl while the 1.4L diesel engine returns excellent mileage of 23.59kmpl respectively.
